Reduce Stress and Anxiety
Through hypnosis, which is a focused state of attention that increases suggestibility, you will be guided through exercises that help you learn how to adapt to stressful situations, resolve existing anxieties, and create new ways of looking at the world.
In a recent study at Ohio State University, medical students who learned just one part of what you will experience in our hypnosis sessions were able to significantly reduce exam-time stress. Furthermore, blood samples revealed that these students' immune systems became stronger the more they practiced the techniques!

Achieving Your Goals through Self-Hypnosis
Discover how to harness the incredible power of your subconscious mind to put achieving your goals on autopilot. Learn how to take day dreams and transform them into a powerfully effective force that compels you to achieve your goals.
Hypnosis
Is a means of communicating between the conscious and the sub-conscious mind. It is a natural state experienced as trance.
Hypnosis can be induced by the interaction of one person speaking to another or to a group (Group Hypnosis) We can also learn to self induce hypnosis (Self Hypnosis) a relaxed state of mind that easily accepts positive suggestions to improve your emotional and physical well being.
Hypnosis with its many applications
Is rapidly emerging as fast and effective science and for solving problems. We easily enter into this natural trance like, or zoned out state 5 to 10 times a day, without thinking or in most case's realizing it.
It is a valuable adjunct to standard medical care and psychotherapy: and probably the lowest risk procedure available from the standpoint of contraindications.
Hypnosis can bring about major change:
In physical and emotional health, motivation, self confidence, emotional stability, behavior, habit control, pain control, creativity, sexual problems, and many other areas that may be interfering with your ability in achieving your goals. Yet few therapeutic procedures are less understood and plagued by misunderstandings than Hypnotism.
Hypnosis has long been associated
With the strange and mysterious, yet hypnosis is neither. The truth to this is, you drift off into and out of a state of trance, on a daily basis. Most of us drift into a natural state of Hypnosis 5 to 10 times per day without realizing it. It seems so natural and normal it goes unnoticed. That is exactly what hypnosis is, one of the natural states that all human beings minds enter naturally.
Trance?
What is it?
A trance is a natural state that occurs whenever your attention is narrowly focused and free of distractions. You attention can be either internally (like in doing self talk or day dreaming) or externally (about some task you have to do, reading a good book or watching a sporting event or listening to a speaker.) Attention is when your mind is concentrating on something and other things going on are ignored or blocked out of your conscious mind for a period of time.
Misconceptions
Lets discuss what hypnosis is not
This way we can better understand what hypnosis is. Following is a list of misconceptions about hypnosis.
The hypnotist can gain control over the client against his or her wishes.
The news media, both TV and News Papers have perpetuated this myth.
Hypnosis is actually self-hypnosis. The client hypnotizes them selves, all the hypnotist does is guides the client and instructs the client what to do and when, so the client can achieve a deeper level than they would normally alone. The hypnotherapist is merely a facilitator who has masterd techniques in the art of hypnosis and the art of effective suggestions.
A hypnotist works with the client, teaching him or her how to access the hypnotic trance.
Only the weak minded can be hypnotized.
To the contrary, the best subjects for hypnosis are those who have average intelligence or higher, with good powers of concentration, focus, able to use their imagination and are self motivated to do well and succeed.
In hypnosis a person can be made to tell all he or she knows.
The person being hypnotized always remains in control, never loses consciouness and is always aware of what happens. She or he is always able to maintain control of each session. There is nothing that is revealed unless its the wishes and of the client.
Being Hypnotized is being asleep. Hypnosis is a state of increased awareness with very deep physical relaxation. Many subjects after the first session feel as if they were not in hypnosis because they heard and were aware of everything that was said and took place.
It's possible to become stuck or lost in hypnosis and not be able to awaken. In all the history of hypnosis, no one has ever become stuck in hypnosis and not be able to bring themselves out or be brought out by the hypnotist. Since all hypnosis is self hypnosis, one emerges from the trance state whenever necessary. Prior to induction, the hypnotist should explain the entire procedure, so that the client knows what to expect. The hypnotist should reassure the client that they always remain in full control.
The first session starts with suggestibilty tests to determine the hypnotizability of the client, then the client is guided through a progressive relaxation technique which leads the client into the hypnotic trance. During the trance, the clients goals are addressed and then the client is brought out of the trance.
Post hypnotic suggestions are usuallly given to the client while in hypnosis to practice the self hypnosis techniques taught to him or her using positive self affirmations several times a day, and to begin listening to CD's or tapes to help in re-inforcing the suggestions daily. As with any program self hypnosis is used for self improvement, it must be used to reinforce the effort and commitment the client has agreed to.
Some are too strong willed to be hypnotized.
Hypnosis is self hypnosis, it is not something that someone does to the other. We are all born with the same abilities to enter trance (Hypnosis) and use it to our benefit. The depth of its use, deliberate or not, varies from one person to the another. Improving the skill of hypnosis and trance can be enhanced with the guidance of an experienced hypnotist.
All hypnosis is self hypnosis,
So it is the client that uses his or her abilities, including concentration and imagination, to cause what we know and recognize as "The Hypnotic Trance" (HYPNOSIS).
Aspects of Hypnosis
It is a heightened state of Suggestibility.
It is often described as an altered state of consciousness with "selective perception" a process in which one can choose to see only what is relevant to his task blocking out everything else. Hypnosis involves guided concentration.
Hypnosis is an altered state of suggestibilty.
It is the most common view among practioners that hypnosis is an altered state of consciouness: as ones awareness differs from the usual preception of reality.
